Responsive / NEED MONEY FOR NYC / Development

Cover: An interpretation of the sign.

Page 2 & 3 are left black for Jamie to sign and leave a message for customers.
A hand written message is the most appropriate form of communication here and communicates the correct tone of voice.
Printed type is limited and not used elsewhere in the zine.

The first image is a full bleed image of the NY skyline; this sets the tone of the publication.

Images of the same or similar subject are kept together.

Photographs I believed to be of more 'worth' are put on a DPS.
Enlarged until the vertical meets the 3mm bleed.
potrait images are to meet the full bleed.

5mm margins frame the landscape photographs.
Contradictory to portrait images, running landscapes to the 3mm gives the composition an awkward, loose tone.
Images with similar lighting complement each other.

The 'Need money for weed' sign is placed in the centre right page,
this would be the first page to naturally view if opened with accordance to natural gap created by the bind.

Breaking the rules of centring full images, the image is left aligned as to not interrupt the subject's body over the bind.

Illustrating the back of the initial sign creates a sense of continuity, as well as the idea of playing with a 3d sense.
