Responsive / FEATHR / Research

The creative freedom of the brief is attractive.

My interest in interior design and other direction areas of design fit with the brief.

Examples of existing products:

Simple diamond repeat.
Photographs with extras, in context, add to the idea of selling a lifestyle.
Images similar to this do not communicate a sense of scale of the pattern.

Using a distorted form creates more interesting imagery.

Communicating a story through a photoshoot is a valuable marketing strategy.

The current market is all very similar. Creativity appears to be a rarity.

The tile for this print is hard to locate; well considered.
A print created with pencil.

Taken from a competitor of FEATHR, the predictable is evident again.

Stripes, butterflies, birds, tiles and trees appear the most common.

Hand illustrated, textured and quaint.

Skeumorphism 1.

Skeumorphism 2.

Skeumorphism 3.

Urban Outfitters present their products in an alternative manner to stop merging with competitors.

A contemporary approach to wallpaper.

The repeat tile is obvious here.

Stripes. Wallpaper doesn't have to cover the whole of a wall.

Viewing objects over the wallpaper creates scale.

An extension of wallpaper design, apply the design to furnishings.

Considering the target audience, what objects can I use (re-appropriate) to relate to them?
