OUGD504 - Studio Brief 01 - My Design Process - Study Task 01 - The Design Process?

Before stating to define my own Design Process, I wanted to discover what this means to other designers and how it works in other industries.

What is a Design Process?

Taken from 'http://www.designcouncil.org.uk/news-opinion/introducing-design-methods', these 3 lists define the design process according to design council:

A design process is not a given thing, everyone must go through one to complete a project yet it doesn't have to be the same method each time. I'd like to compare a design process to an adaptable substance, it can alter how, when and where this substance occurs but it must occur for a project to develop.

My definition of my design process:

A sequence of actions that are no way linear nor that begin with a briefing. Morals, inspirations and aspirations in relation to design are an ongoing process that affect my approach to a brief, this is what makes every designer individual. This sequence develops an idea from its conception to a final.  Almost like a catalyst, the design process incubates a idea from conception to birth.

A brainstorm of the aspects we consider, as a group, to be important in the design process.

My personal design process draft.
